Softball Recap: Baraboo Thunderbirds vs. Waunakee Warriors

Baraboo had lost 16 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-21 to make it 17. They came up short against the Waunakee Warriors, falling 12-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Thunderbirds have suffered since May 5th.

As for Waunakee, their record is now 17-4. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Waunakee's part, Audra Ubersox was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Ubersox a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynley Nachriener, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Baraboo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waunakee, they will take on Brodhead at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
