The Nashoba Valley Tech Vikings will challenge the Maimonides M-Cats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Nashoba Valley Tech is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Nashoba Valley Tech needed a bit of extra time to put away Mystic Valley Regional. They skirted past the Eagles 3-2.

Nashoba Valley Tech got a great performance from Shaun Barrett as he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

On the hitting side, Chase Blaisdell was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Maimonides was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to Newton South.

Nashoba Valley Tech has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Maimonides, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Nashoba Valley Tech was able to grind out a solid victory over Maimonides when the teams last played on May 2nd, winning 5-2. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the M-Cats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
