Football Game Preview: Wabeno/Laona vs. Northland Pines

Wabeno/Laona will take on Northland Pines at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest.

Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Wabeno/Laona, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They walked away with a 18-6 win over Crandon.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-46, which was the final score in Northland Pines's tilt against Ashland last Friday. Northland Pines were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 6-30.

Wabeno/Laona's victory lifted them to 3-2 while Northland Pines's defeat dropped them down to 3-3. We'll find out if Wabeno/Laona can add another positive mark to their record or if Northland Pines can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Wabeno/Laona's step.
