Volleyball Recap: Monroe Hornets vs. Bellbrook Golden Eagles
After flying high against Chaminade Julienne Catholic last Saturday, Monroe came back down to earth. The Monroe Hornets lost 3-0 to the Bellbrook Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Miranda Lobberecht was a one-man wrecking crew for Bellbrook as she had 13 digs and two aces.
Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Bellbrook, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Monroe and Edgewood will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bellbrook, they will take on Ross at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
