Basketball Game Preview: Snohomish Panthers vs. Stanwood Spartans

The Snohomish Panthers will face off against the Stanwood Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.

It was a proper cat-fight when Snohomish took on Monroe on Wednesday. Snohomish walked away with a 54-42 victory over Monroe.

Meanwhile, Stanwood blew past Marysville-Pilchuck, posting a 63-15 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 25 points or more this season.

Snohomish is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Stanwood, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Snohomish was able to grind out a solid win over Stanwood in their previous meeting on January 9th, winning 62-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Snohomish since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
