Basketball Game Preview: Henry Clay Blue Devils vs. Scott County Cardinals

The Henry Clay Blue Devils will face off against the Scott County Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Henry Clay knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Scott County likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Henry Clay sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-54 victory over Danville. The win continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Admirals: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Scott County beat Bryan Station 50-42 last Tuesday.

Scott County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Henry Clay, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.

Henry Clay didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Scott County when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory.
