Baseball Recap: Paradise Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Paradise came out on top against Callisburg on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run sixth inning. The Panthers walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Paradise got a great performance from Braden Wilson as he struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Wilson has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Carter Mara was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Leland Mattern, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Paradise's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Callisburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9.
