Softball Recap: Somerset Academy South Homestead's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mater Bay Academy, Somerset Academy South Homestead was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 14-11 win over the Gulliver Prep Raiders. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Hurricanes considering their one-run performance the game before.

Isabella Azevedo was incredible, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Jazelyn Bermudez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Azevedo wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Somerset Academy South Homestead kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Somerset Academy South Homestead has already played their next contest, a 16-7 win against Archbishop Carroll on the 4th. As for Gulliver Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 16-2 victory against Immaculata-La Salle on the 5th.
