Fulton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Jamesville-DeWitt Red Rams as they made off with a 9-2 victory. This was payback for the Red Raiders, who suffered a 15-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Emma Spaulding was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Spaulding was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Riley Trude was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Nadia Rose, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
