It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but King William had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Nandua Warriors. That's two games straight that the Cavaliers have won by just one run.

King William saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Lee, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

King William has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Nandua, they moved to 11-8 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, King William will be playing in front of their home fans against Randolph-Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Cavaliers have won eight straight at home, while the Statesmen won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Nandua does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
