Baseball Recap: East Noble Comes Up Short

DeKalb hit East Noble with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barons. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly four runs.

Jackson Leedy was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for East Noble and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for DeKalb, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, East Noble will venture away from home to take on West Noble at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
