Volleyball Game Preview: Wilmot Wolves vs. Waverly/South Shore Coyotes

The Wilmot Wolves will challenge the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Wilmot and Britton-Hecla had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wolves came up short against the Braves on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Wilmot was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Britton-Hecla's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Waverly/South Shore made easy work of Tiospa Zina on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Coyotes.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-9, 25-16.

Waverly/South Shore found their leader in sophomore Alina Kleiss, who had six digs and six aces.

Waverly/South Shore was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Waverly/South Shore's record now sits at 9-18. As for Wilmot, their loss dropped their record down to 3-25.

Wilmot might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Waverly/South Shore in their previous meeting on October 2nd. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
