Baseball Game Preview: Gahr Gladiators vs. Harvard-Westlake Wolverines

The Gahr Gladiators will challenge the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither Gahr nor Harvard-Westlake posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Gahr is leaving town to face Harvard-Westlake after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Gahr fell 3-0 to Sierra Canyon on Tuesday.

Gahr got a good showing from Juan Carlos Munoz, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Meanwhile, Harvard-Westlake had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over Cypress on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Centurions: they've now won three in a row.

Gahr skirted past Harvard-Westlake 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2018. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gahr since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
