Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Shades Valley

There's no place like home for Shades Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They managed a 48-44 victory over the Pell City Panthers on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Mounties: when they faced off against the Panthers last Tuesday, they had to take a 50-46 loss.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JaHannah Green, who posted 11 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Green a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiriah Hill, who put up 11 points.

Shades Valley pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Pell City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-19.

Shades Valley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Shades Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Pell City has already played their next game (against Gadsden City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
