Soccer Game Preview: Rustburg vs. Amherst County

Rustburg is 2-8 against Amherst County since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Red Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Amherst County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Rustburg, who comes in off a win.

Rustburg's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Appomattox County by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Amherst County's offense. They fell just short of Brookville by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Amherst County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win got Rustburg back to even at 3-3-1. As for Amherst County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.
