Basketball Game Preview: Tuba City Warriors vs. Monument Valley Mustangs

The Tuba City Warriors will head out to square off against the Monument Valley Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuba City is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Tuba City didn't have quite enough to beat Ganado and fell 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Warriors have suffered against the Hornets since January 30, 2020.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Eriana Begay, who posted 13 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Natasha Acothley, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 15 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Monument Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Holbrook on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory.

Monument Valley now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Tuba City, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Tuba City skirted past Monument Valley 53-51 in their previous meeting on January 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tuba City since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
