Belleville West is 9-1 against Granite City since December of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Belleville West Maroons will face off against the Granite City Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Belleville West and three for Granite City.

Belleville West is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Jacksonville on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Belleville West was dealt a 54-23 defeat at the hands of Jacksonville. The Maroons were down 40-16 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Meanwhile, Granite City came up short against Notre Dame last Saturday, falling 49-25.

Belleville West's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Granite City, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Belleville West came out on top in a nail-biter against Granite City when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 39-37. Does Belleville West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Granite City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
