Los Altos posted their closest victory since March 27th on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Mountain View Spartans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 on Tuesday.

Chloe Caldbeck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Makayla Mase was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sabrina Neal, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI.
