Volleyball Recap: Halei Aikau and Layla Driscoll Secure Win for Rancho + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Rancho, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chaparral Cowboys on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-20, 25-9.

Rancho was led to victory by Layla Driscoll and Halei Aikau. Driscoll hit 85.7% for six kills and 14 aces and six digs, while Aikau had 11 digs and two assists. Those 14 aces gave Driscoll a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Rancho was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive games.

The victory got Rancho back to even at 10-10. As for Chaparral, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-18.

Coincidentally, Rancho and Chaparral will both be playing Eldorado the next time they take the court. The Cowboys will host the Firehawks at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th, while the Rams will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on October 8.
