The scorekeeper got an easy start on Wednesday as neither Atlantic Coast nor Fernandina Beach made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Stingrays skirted past the Pirates 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Stingrays, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lily Maguire spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Stella Lynton was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Emma Cano, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Atlantic Coast and bumps their season record up to 20-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Fernandina Beach, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.

As of now, neither Atlantic Coast nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
