Basketball Game Recap: Wartburg Central Bulldogs vs. Rockwood Tigers

The Wartburg Central Bulldogs lost against the Rockwood Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Wartburg Central was the victim of a tough 61-41 loss at the hands of the Tigers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wartburg Central in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

It was another big night for Ty'varion Pryor, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds for Rockwood. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylon Reed, who scored 12 points.

Wartburg Central's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Rockwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wartburg Central will take on the Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockwood, they and the Bobcats will face off at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Oliver Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
