Basketball Recap: Meadow Takes a Loss

Meadow lost against Loop back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Meadow Broncos lost to the Loop Longhorns on the road by a 59-40 margin. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1521st, while the Longhorns are ranked 689th).

Meadow is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13. As for Loop, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Meadow will face off against Cotton Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meadow is facing Cotton Center at the right time seeing as Cotton Center is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Loop, they will take on Dawson at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Loop knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matches -- so hopefully Dawson likes a good challenge.
