Softball Recap: Wauzeka-Steuben Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Wauzeka-Steuben put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seneca Indians, sneaking past 2-0. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Wauzeka-Steuben pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Seneca, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Wauzeka-Steuben wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-3 victory against Cashton on the 9th. As for Seneca, they will head out on the road to square off against Ithaca at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with five straight defeats, while the Bulldogs will come in with nine straight wins.
