Basketball Game Preview: Western Plains Bobcats vs. Moscow Wildcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Western Plains Bobcats face off against the Moscow Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday... Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Western Plains was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 39-35 to Golden Plains. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Western Plains saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaelyn Spangler posted nine points and six assists. Spangler is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Kalihan Flax was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Moscow was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 40-35 to Elkhart. Moscow has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Western Plains now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Moscow, they now also have a losing record at 3-4.
