Howard took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 69-57 victory over William & Reed Academy. The Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Michael Davis, who posted 37 points. Another player making a difference was Keegan Roberts, who earned 13 points.

Meanwhile, Atlanta Area School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch back in November as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Mill Springs Academy, falling 66-35. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-11.

Atlanta Area School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Howard, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
