Basketball Recap: South Central Takes a Loss

South Central was the 65-61 winner over Kiowa County when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The South Central Timberwolves took a 56-40 bruising from the Kiowa County Mavericks on Tuesday.

South Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Kiowa County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-8.

South Central and Kiowa County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. South Central (ranked 171st) will meet South Gray (ranked 39th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Kiowa County will challenge Spearville at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday down 117 places (214 vs. 97).
