Volleyball Game Preview: Community Christian Academy Warriors vs. Christian Family Academy Fire

Community Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Christian Family Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will host the Fire at 6:00 p.m.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Community Christian Academy and Challenger had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firebirds on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Christian Family Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Fire in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won five in a row.

Christian Family Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 20-25, 25-23, 25-18.

Community Christian Academy better keep an eye on Ally Justice. She was instrumental in Christian Family Academy's win, getting eight aces and seven kills. Those eight aces gave Justice a new career-high. Alyna Smith was another key player, getting six aces.

Christian Family Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Community Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
