Baseball Recap: Meridian Comes Up Short

Meridian fell victim to Brandon and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Brandon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Meridian Wildcats challenge Forest Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brandon, they will be playing at home against South Jones at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Jones will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Brandon surely won't give up without a fight.
