Mid-Carolina entered their tilt with Chester on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Cyclones with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mid-Carolina took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-3.

Mid-Carolina's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Chester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Mid-Carolina will take on Eau Claire at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chester, they will head out to take on York Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
