The biggest upset of the week belonged to Glenwood Springs, who took down 38th ranked Delta, 15-7.

Levi Hoaglund of Palisade ran for the longest rushing play in 3A Western Slope this season against Durango last week. Hoaglund scampered for 96 yards on the play and finished with 205 on the day as his team topped the Demons.

Montezuma-Cortez's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jonathan Walck threw for 243 yards and Randy Haley had 103 yards receiving. On the ground Haley contributed 210 yards. Ryan Gurney helped Montezuma-Cortez's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 74 yards.

The Panthers' dynamic duo of Walck and Haley proved to be unstoppable against Steamboat Springs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gurney helped Montezuma-Cortez's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 74 yards.

Haley was a force in the backfield as Montezuma-Cortez fell to the Sailors.

6-foot-6 quarterback Cade Gafford of the Panthers is the league leader in passing yards this season with 786. He has also thrown 11 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Mitch McCannon. The Steamboat Springs star has 16 catches for 430 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Rifle takes on second place Palisade. Last week, Rifle defeated Battle Mountain, while Palisade beat Durango.
