2B Pacific recap Oct. 17, 2012

North Beach led 2B Pacific in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on South Bend.

Ocosta's dynamic duo of Kurt Bambauer and Alex Herrera proved tough for Napavine to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bambauer threw for 62 yards and one touchdown and Herrera had 45 yards receiving. Nate Krigbaum helped Ocosta's passing attack out by catching two balls for 13 yards.

James Benn made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats lost to the Tigers. The 6-foot-4 junior recorded two fumbles.

Marcus Lundy was the most productive running back in the league this week. In six carries, he ran for 115 yards as Raymond lost to Napavine. Darol Ratsavogsy also contributed to the rushing game with 43 yards on the ground.

Thanks to the talents of Bambauer and Krigbaum Mike Allton's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Bambauer leads the league in passing with 404 yards, while Krigbaum has rushed for 625 yards this season. Willapa Valley's Drew Pearson leads the league in receiving yards with 146 on nine catches.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Wildcats take on Naselle. Ocosta is currently in fourth, while the Comets are in third.

Lundy broke off the longest rushing play in 2B Pacific this week with a 95-yard scamper against Naselle.
