Eastern is a perfect 10-0 against Tri-Central since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Comets will face off against the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eastern has six straight wins, Tri-Central has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Eastern came out on top against Lewis Cass on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Comets walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Kings.

The team relied heavily on Kaleb Hurt, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. Trey Beachy was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Rossville hit Tri-Central with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans fell 8-3 to the Hornets.

Eastern's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Tri-Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Eastern took their win against Tri-Central when the teams last played last Thursday by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
