Basketball Recap: Hali Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kendrick over Kamiah

Kendrick lost against Kamiah back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Kendrick Tigers took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kamiah Kubs.

Kendrick's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hali Anderson, who posted ten points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. Those seven assists gave Anderson a new career-high. Ivy Cowley was another key player, putting up nine points.

Anderson wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Kendrick was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Kamiah was led to victory by Emma Krogh and Kelsee Hunt. Krogh earned 29 points, while Hunt went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points. The matchup was Krogh's tenth in a row with at least 17 points.

Kendrick's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Kamiah, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Kendrick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kamiah, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-40 defeat against Lapwai on the 13th.
