Football Recap: Muskegon Triumphs

The Muskegon Big Reds were able to grind out a solid win over the Garfield Heights Bulldogs on Saturday, taking the game 15-8. Given the Big Reds' advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 23rd in Michigan, while the Bulldogs are ranked 304th in Ohio) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Muskegon's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Garfield Heights, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Muskegon will square off against Byron Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Big Reds' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Garfield Heights, they will face off against North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
