Garden City never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on the Scott Beavers with a sharp 15-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-3 on Monday.

Kyleigh Whitehurst was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Whitehurst was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Garden City got a massive performance out of Piper Harris, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Zayla Peck was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Garden City's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Scott, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Garden City will host Goodland at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Scott, they have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Holcomb on the 8th.
