Basketball Recap: Fort Bend Hightower Has No Trouble Against Fort Bend Dulles

Fort Bend Hightower posted their biggest win since November 21st on Monday. They blew past the Fort Bend Dulles Vikings 78-55. Given the Hurricanes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Vikings are ranked 1082nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Bend Dulles' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jayden Redhead, who posted 23 points, and Jaylen Koovakada, who earned 19 points. Redhead's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Fort Bend Hightower is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.9 points per game. As for Fort Bend Dulles, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Fort Bend Hightower will host Fort Bend Clements at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Clements is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. Fort Bend Dulles and Ridge Point will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridge Point knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Fort Bend Dulles likes a good challenge.
