Basketball Recap: Herreid/Selby Comes Up Short

Herreid/Selby was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Aberdeen Christian Knights, falling 62-42. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Knights are ranked 45th).

Herreid/Selby's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Aberdeen Christian, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

When Herreid/Selby and Aberdeen Christian next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Herreid/Selby will try to stop Ipswich's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Aberdeen Christian will take on Western Christian and their 13-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
