Football Recap: Sunnyside Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Bob Davis and Johnathan Diaz + How To Watch

If Sunnyside was riding high fresh off their 60-14 takedown of Madera South last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between the Wildcats and the Roosevelt Rough Riders didn't end well, with the Wildcats falling 19-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Sunnyside's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Johnathan Diaz, who rushed for 124 yards on only 15 carries, and Bob Davis, who rushed for 74 yards.

Roosevelt was led to victory by Ehis Idoni and Cj Barker. Idoni rushed for 158 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, while Barker rushed for 138 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. Idoni's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Sunnyside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Roosevelt, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
