Basketball Recap: Seneca Valley Takes a Loss

If Seneca Valley was feeling good fresh off their 64-37 takedown of Einstein last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles fell just short of the Richard Montgomery Rockets by a score of 70-68 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (64), the Screamin' Eagles still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Seneca Valley lost, don't look at Jaysen Moise. Despite the final result, he shot 5-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 boards. The contest was Moise's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ian Bullie, who posted ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Seneca Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive matches.

Seneca Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Richard Montgomery, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
