Softball Recap: Auburndale Comes Up Short

Auburndale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Newsome Wolves, falling 15-2. The Bloodhounds were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Auburndale saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ailenid Lozada, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Newsome, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Auburndale didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-4 win against Sickles on the 8th. As for Newsome, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-3 victory against Sarasota on the 7th.
