Basketball Recap: Dunsmuir Takes a Loss

Dunsmuir and Paradise Adventist Academy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Dunsmuir had to settle for second. They were dealt a 75-46 defeat at the hands of the Paradise Adventist Academy Cougars. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-26.

Jayden Eyer was his usual excellent self, going 13-for-27 en route to 38 points in addition to seven assists and five boards for Paradise Adventist Academy. The game was Eyer's 11th in a row with at least 18 points. Jayden Stabel was another key player, going 10-for-16 to rack up 21 points and seven rebounds.

Dunsmuir moved to 6-15 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Dunsmuir does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 57-48 defeat against Chester on the 25th.
