Fairview and Lakewood are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Knights will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lakewood took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairview, who comes in off a win.

Fairview is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Prairie View: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Knights blew the Thunderhawks out of the water with a 59-14 final score. With the Knights ahead 38-4 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Fairview's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rylee Bennett, who posted nine points in addition to seven steals and five boards. That's the most rebounds Bennett has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Violet Murra, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 12 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Lakewood had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 46-27 fall against Golden.

Fairview will have to keep a close watch on Saylor Slaughter and Iben Last, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lakewood's prior game. Slaughter put up 13 points and three steals, while Last had ten points and five boards.

Fairview strolled past Lakewood in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 53-39. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
