Softball Recap: Perry Meridian Takes a Loss

Perry Meridian blew Martinsville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Martinsville got their revenge. The Falcons fell just short of the Artesians by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Macy Stroud made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Perry Meridian's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Martinsville, their victory bumped their record up to 12-15.

While Perry Meridian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
