Soccer Game Preview: Oakton vs. Hayfield

Oakton's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Chantilly by a score of 2-0.

Meanwhile, Hayfield came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Eagles.

Hayfield pushed their record up to 7-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Oakton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Oakton came out on top in a nail-biter against Hayfield in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
