Volleyball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Southwest's tournament run continued when they took on Cedar Ridge on Thursday. The Dragons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Deborah Alele paced Southwest's offense, picking up three kills. Alele got some help from Amiah Gonzales and her six assists.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cedar Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Southwest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Johnson on the 21st. As for Cedar Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Hendrickson on the 21st.
