Volleyball Recap: Ross Takes a Loss

After flying high against Napoleon on Thursday, Ross came back down to earth. The Little Giants fell just short of the Calvert Senecas by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Little Giants haven't had much luck with the Senecas recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ross took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 19-25, 18-25, 25-20, 15-11.

When it comes to explaining why Ross lost, don't look at Brook Baacke. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs. Lillian Weakley also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Among those leading the charge was Kate Coleman, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Ross' defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Calvert, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

Looking ahead, Ross will take on Start in a tournament on Wednesday. Calvert does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
