Nutley lost to West Orange back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Maroon Raiders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mountaineers 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Maroon Raiders.

Nutley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-9.

Nutley's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for West Orange, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

Coming up, Nutley will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. As for West Orange, they will head out to challenge Morristown at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mountaineers are facing the Colonials at the right time seeing as the Colonials are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
