Volleyball Recap: Santee Comes Up Short

Santee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Boyd County Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

While Santee was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12.

Leading Boyd County to victory were Claire Reiman and Kyla McCarthy. Reiman had eight aces and six assists, while McCarthy had seven digs and one assist. That's the most assists Reiman has posted since back in September.

Santee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Boyd County, their record is now 8-11.

Santee has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Bloomfield on the 7th. As for Boyd County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against West Holt on the 9th.
