Basketball Recap: Wolfe City Comes Up Short

Wolfe City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Whitewright Tigers, falling 68-30. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Despite the loss, Wolfe City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Adams dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. That was a full 40% of Wolfe City's points, marking the 11th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Wolfe City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Whitewright, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Wolfe City will venture away from home to face off against Tom Bean at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Wolfe City is facing Tom Bean at the right time seeing as Tom Bean is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Whitewright, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Celeste at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Celeste will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Whitewright surely won't give up without a fight.
