Volleyball Recap: Western Reserve Starts Season with Win at Home

Western Reserve took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the Lucas Cubs 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Roughriders in their matchups with the Cubs: they've now won three in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Western Reserve was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-13.

Lucas is on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Western Reserve will host St. Paul at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Roughriders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lucas, they will venture away from home to challenge Plymouth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
